MY STORY

How it all began...

 

I have always had a passion for photography and anything arty. I'd been face painting for over 10 years and also a variety of body painting work, such as pregnancy painting, and the Motor Accident Commission advert with Emma Hack.  Since having my own 2 daughtes I was taking even more photos and thoroughally enjoyed every aspect of it.   I found myself being approached by family and friends to capture similar images for them. I was also fortunate enough to be personally mentored by a wonderful professional photographer. Discovering skills not only with the camera, but also software editing techniques.  Then, the more I learnt, the more work I did, and loved it.  I have been so inspired.  As my clientelle grew, I was humbled with the positive feedback and genuine gratitide when people saw their photographs.  I feel privileged to have the opportunity to photograph young children, and capture their innocence and natural beauty.  I have a caring, respectful and delicate approach and work from the heart, which I hope reflects in my image galleries.

 

I take pride in the fact that I allow ample time to ensure the photo session is a success.  I am kind, easy going, patient and love the company of little ones.  Each child's photo session is like having a blank canvas, and there is a whole world of creations just waiting to flourish.  I find inspiration in vintage items, and aim for an elegant, natural and simplistic look.

 

In order to obtain wonderful timeless photographs I ensure there is ample natural lighting, and also creative use of props.  I like people to get that warm fuzzy feeling when looking throught their pictures, seeing that special something that makes them smile, and have confidence in knowing it will bring them the same pleasure in years to come.
